Wintershall Dea, Total Energies subsidiary Total Austral, and Pan American Energy have started development drilling at the Fénix field, around 37.3 miles (60 kilometers) off the coast of Tierra del Fuego. The total investment of the consortium in the Fénix development amounts to approximately $700 million, Wintershall Dea said in a news release.Fénix is the largest natural gas field currently being developed off the Argentine coast.
