Telco Claro Argentina has deployed 400 5G radio stations and has a plan to “continue increasing significantly”. The company acquired 100MHz in the 3.5GHz band in 2023 offering around US$350mn. Last year, Claro announced an agreement with Nokia for 5G deployment. The agreement will cover the first phase of 5G implementation in the country, reaching Argentina’s largest cities. Claro is one of the main telecom operators in Argentina, together with Telecom, which recently acquired Telefónica’s business in the country.
