The list of ICT service providers in Argentina could increase as the government decided to modify two laws with the aim of streamlining the granting of ICT and cable TV licenses for cooperatives and non-profits. With the new regulation, the government reduced administrative obstacles that delayed the entry of new operators. To date, companies that offered public services (non-telephone service cooperatives) had to ask for the endorsement of the antitrust regulator as part of the ICT permitting process.
