Oil producer Vista Energy said it tripled its second-quarter exports from its corner of the prolific Vaca Muerta shale formation in Argentina. The New York-listed company revealed the boost as part of a conference call with analysts to discuss its $235m profit in the second quarter, which was a 184% jump on the same period of 2024. Tanker players are watching the growing Vaca Muerta output, which is expected to boost VLCC demand.
