
Argentina faces a number of key challenges to achieve its ambitions to become a regional AI hub, particularly the limited datacenter infrastructure currently available in the country. While private datacenters and cloud services exist and some new investments have been announced, further development is still needed outside major urban centers in the country. “At present, many Argentine organizations rely on datacenters located abroad, resulting in increased latency, higher international data traffic costs and regulatory challenges related to sovereignty and compliance with data protection laws”.
