Argentina’s Pampa Energía estimates that expenditure associated with its participation in the Southern Energy LNG-exporting project will reach around US$500mn. The overall project, in which Pampa has a 20% stake, involves anchoring two vessels offshore Río Negro province and installing ancillary infrastructure both onshore and offshore. In parallel, Pampa is working to expand its oil footprint via the Rincón de Aranda acreage at Vaca Muerta. The company expects to spend US$800mn at the block this year.
