Italian energy company Eni and Argentina’s state-run oil company YPF have finalized an agreement to collaborate on a liquefied natural gas (LNG) project being developed in the South American nation. The agreement outlines the steps towards a final investment decision (FID) for the phase of the project that includes gas production, treatment, transportation and liquefaction through floating units. The Argentina LNG project aims to develop the resources of the onshore Vaca Muerta field and is set to have a total capacity of 12 million tons per annum (mtpa) of LNG.
