Three strikes this week as union leaders ramp up pressure on President Javier Milei’s government. The move was called to protest “the austerity promoted by the government, the increase in fares after the removal of subsidies, the attempt to privatise [state airline] Aerolíneas Argentinas, the attack on pensioners and in rejection of the increase in poverty,” according to a communiqué.
