
Argentina’s YPF has received 60 expressions of interest to bid for the 55 conventional oil and natural gas fields it has put up for sale, as the state-run company seeks to streamline its business. The interest has come from companies in Argentina, Canada and the US. YPF, the biggest oil and gas producer in the country, has hired Santander to manage the sale of the fields in the southern provinces of Chubut, Río Negro, Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego, as well as in Neuquén province and the western province of Mendoza. YPF announced the divestment plan early this year and subsequently gained board approval.
